Recreational Boat Insurance provides cover against loss or damage caused by perils of the sea and other perils, in respect of private pleasure craft which are not engaged in any commercial activity and which are used solely by their owner for the purposes of personal leisure and entertainment.
Cover is provided on the basis of specific international standards (Institute Yacht Clauses) which include, inter alia, loss or damage caused to the insured yachts due to collision or sinking of the vessel, as well as other risks such as fire and lightning. Cover is also offered for liability against third parties such as passengers and swimmers.
